DON’T FEED THE FLAME AND TELL THE TRUTH
“Media Dialogue for Democracy and Peace” was a big step forward to work on a sustainable network between universities, NGOs and institutions from Germany, Ukraine, Armenia, Georgia and Belarus.
A working democracy is based on the freedom of speech and press. The open war in Ukraine and the so-called “frozen” conflicts in Georgia and Armenia are a special challenge for the democracy progress.
On the background of war and armed conflicts, economic challenges, combined with the aim of self-determined development of the nations, propaganda, fake-news, hate speech and interest bound media are a permanent danger in reaching stability and peace in Europe.
The results of the project developed different perspectives on how we can reach peace in the participating countries.
