Video-Mediadialogue 2020

Due to the corona crisis, the Media Dialogue 2020 for „Pluralism and Understanding“ was changed completly to an online-event. The great flexiblity of the organizers team, keynote-speakers and participants made it possible to realize online seminars and three projects stages with different responsibilites for „Berlin“ in Germany, „Gjumri“ in Armenia and Kyiv in Ukraine.

The war of Turkish and Aserbaidchan forces in Berg-Karabach against Armenia caused dramatic impacts to the project – sometimes with live-reports and keynotes near the frontline. The events in Belarus in the context of the election fraud and the brutality of the security forces against journalists and a protesting population also showed dramatically how important the fundamental rights of freedom of speech and press are.

These events showed forcefully how important the „Mediadialogue-Project“ is, especially under the influence of an open war and state repression . The threatening of media freedom, propaganda and fake news where shown exemplary.

The Mediadialogue 2020 gave all participants the chance to learn how online-communication works even under dramatc conditions. The results of the project are impressive: Video- und audioproducts and the projectblog from the participants of all 6 countries, TV Reports in Germany, Ukraine and Armenia are a big sign of the motivation of all participants.
