Open TV channels in Europe is a poorly studied phenomenon of modern media industry of the CIS (Commonwealth of Independent States). Taking as an example one of those channels, OK:TV in Ludwigshafen, we found out that every person has a right to create a media product and give it for broadcasting.
Open channels is the place where real freedom of speech exists. It’s hard to imagine the presence of such a channel in Bilorus or Ukraine. In Germany they have worked for over 30 years.
Any person can come to OK:TV and use the available equipment to create their television videos.
Open channels in a must in Eastern Europe because not only they give an opportunity to express personality but also help amateurs to become professionals.
